The Fit Test: INSANITY has begun!

The first of a series of Vlogs concerning my INSANITY adventure! Enjoy!



Each of the following named exercises were performed in 60second intervals with 30 second rests in between. So each exercise total recorded were each accomplished within 60 seconds! Hard-to-the-core.

Switch Kicks: 55 (110 kicks total)
Power Jacks: 40
Power Knees: 100
Power Jumps: 30
Globe Jumps: 6 (24 jumps total)
Suicide Jumps: 15
Push-up Jacks: 20 (I can't push-up @ 90 degrees though....so my chest strength needs major improvement)
Low Plank Obliques: 50

111/63 SYS/DIA mmHg
HR: 131 bpm (I did rest longer than the recorded 30 second break intervals, a few times, during the test....my heart felt like it was 100lbs...gotta keep it honest.)

All in all.....INSANITY. Got cardio plyometrics for 45 minutes tomorrow......Oh joy! Stay tuned...

I thought ya'll may be interested in my first official BIO as a personal trainer!!! This doesn't include all the nifty formatting I did for my portfolio at the gym, but its the verbiage at least. Let me know you opinions/critiques!

My interest and passion for Health, Wellness and Fitness were culminated at the beginning of 2009, sitting alone in a Manhattan apartment one cold February evening. For my story, February 2009 marked the end of a 2 year adventure in the Modeling, High Fashion, and Entertainment industries. Jet-setting nationally from the West to the East and back, I was in the business of fulfilling more dreams, goals, and aspirations than I was aware I had dreamt. It was upon attaining these goals for my modeling career that I decided to return to my home in California, settling in to pursue my education and health—I’ve lived a dream and now my lifestyle is the best I could dream of!

My athletic background includes 4 years of Martial Arts training and competing to earn nationally respected titles, while simultaneously dedicating 14 years to disciplines of: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, and some Ballroom dance. My background provides an ideal mind/body connection applicable to that required of a fitness authority. I pride myself on my integrity, professionalism, application, forward business thinking, and communication.

I am currently CPR/AED certified and am certified by the well respected International Sports Science Association (ISSA). I look forward to continuing my education with many more certifications in specialized areas including but not limited to: Nutrition, Kettle Bells, Pilates, Group Instruction, Pre & Post Natal Fitness as well as Youth Fitness. Life is a journey of learning and I intend to always continue seeking knowledge.

Get In Shape!


Hullo all!

Good news =) I just was hired as a Personal Trainer by In-Shape City (formerly 24hr fitness) here in town! I am sooo so excited at this opportunity and am feeling incredibly blessed. A second job!? In this economy? Our Lord is good. I am currently tackling my C.P.T. final - I need about a 6hr block of time to completely concentrate on it till completion. So far the warm-ups are enjoyable and worry-free.

I owe a big thanks to Matt! (Melody's hubby) for lining up my interview at In-Shape ... I so appreciate the leg up my friend! Looking forward to working with you as a part of the In-Shape/Custom Builts team!

Soooo this week has had some interesting moments =) I apologize for being so absent from my blogging these past few months - summer was bliss in so many ways, the time escaped me! I thoroughly enjoyed it ...and now I can't believe I'm back in college! Ms. Supermodel is now a student again...wow! It's a good thing. I am taking an Athletics Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation course, Algebra, and Ballet! Have enjoyed settling into the new routine with school, work, and gym this week and am excited to continue. Hope you all are doing well! I will be around more now, I promise =)

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." - Philippians 4:8


This verse was stenciled on my rooms' wall for 7 years... I've known it well. I've loved it well. It has been tattooed on my hearts' wall forever. Perhaps this plays into why I feel such urgency and vigilant protectiveness over its meaning - with respect to the opinions I've heard today regarding its interpretation; I am disappointed and in adamant disagreement with the view I learned.

It was said that the phrase in verse 8 "...if anything is excellent or praiseworthy..." is meant as a backpedal, stating something of the like, "...as long as its better than bad, think about such things." because apparently, the first part of the verse stating all that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable...that's all just a bit too difficult for us humans. So, just so long as its "better than bad" ...you're doing alright by God!

Just "better than bad" is good enough? Hmm...really now.

Anything inherently good is by definition the absence of bad, as darkness is the absence of light - nonexistent in and of itself. A "better than bad" good is tainted by bad because it is not inherently good. Ya follow my logic there? The world finds acts of evil praiseworthy...in compromise should we also? This reasoning correlates ironically with "The ends justifies the means." methodology. "...Excellent and Praiseworthy..." is meant as a challenge, an urging, and exclamation point to the a fore mentioned challenge to strive for the most admirable of qualities. God's standard is one of excellence; there is no room for backpedaling or compromise with God! It is insubordinate of us to rebel against His standard. We are defying the excellence God has given us the ability to achieve through his Sons' sacrifice.

What a compromise to the challenge we as believers have been called to meet, as reflections of Christs' glory. What an embarrassment to the responsibility we have been given stewardship of; His Holy, Excellent, Good, and Praiseworthy name. We are called to a higher standard than mediocrity... that standard is Christ. Nothing about Christ was mediocre or compromising, was merely good because it was in a minuscule amount better than bad! It is a slippery slope to not protect the sovereignty of Gods word with vigilance. Compromise and lukewarm absence of conviction become the detrimental result.

In reality, this is what I look like in the morning: No makeup, no hair-spray, no photo-shop, no touch-ups, no amazing lighting set or "impossible to take a bad shot" camera. Kodak Moments

Hello lovelies!

Do you remember me? I bet ya'll think I've forgotten about you ... not true! Don't believe the rumors =) I have been so busy blessed by life lately! First off, I have a job now in the 805 area code. I'm working at a historic inn as their restaurants' Hostess/Barista. I'm really enjoying the morning shifts: 6:15am to 2pm ... I know! A I must be a lil crazy to actually enjoy waking up a quarter to 5 in the morning. So be it. Today I just finished my week of training so I have tomorrow off and then begin my very own shift on Friday eve. Exciting :) It's nice to have a schedule and a biweekly paycheck to count on. Below is a pic of 1 of 3 trainers, this is Sammy (Samantha) who I am replacing because she decided to become a busser at the restaurant. So we still get to work together often - yay! This was taken in the "801" coffee shack ... I don't know why it's called the "801" I'll get back to ya on that!
Okay, you've been so patient with me ... let's see ... CHRIS! lol Wow I am so beyond blessed. After nearly 3 years of single life ... the Lord has truly proven Himself faithful despite my imperfect patience, pity parties, and doubt. Chris and I met on a blind date. So funny really. A mutual friend who I met through another mutual friend, via facebook, long distance, while I was still in New York and they were in Chicago. Once we moved back to the Central Coast (literally within the same week of each other!) They set Chris and I up on a double blind date matchmaking thing and whatdya know ... about a month later Chris asked my father for permission to court me. I am so blessed beyond measure by this man. Of course, Matt and Melody are SO excited that they made such a good match between Chris and I! I've also become fast friends with them both. Melody and I are two lady-souls, kindred spirits, sisters of the heart, crazy whatchya macallits :) She and her husband, Matt, are such a blessing! Not to mention beyond bunches of fun. Never a lack for laughter when we're all together =) Such good good solid Christian fellowship! Thank you Lord Jesus for Your provision.^“The real test of friendship.^

In Loving Memory

After 12 happy years with him, our sweet Cody boy was diagnosed with Lymphatic cancer barely two weeks ago today. He was euthanized this past Friday morning (5-22-09) so as not to prolong his pain. He went peacefully and comfortably in mamas loving arms. We have a big rottweiler sized hole in our home and hearts for him. Below are just some words and tunes that helped me through the weekend.

Tatoo or not tooTat...

MAN LOOKS AT THE OUTSIDE. GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART: Getting a tattoo is all the rage these days, and many Christians are trying to decide if they should get a tattoo or not. To tattoo or not to tattoo? THAT is the question. I have been designing mine for awhile now - as I did so, I researched what our Lord had to say on the issue, and this is what I found.

What does the Bible say? Many Christians will quote Leviticus 19:28 as support to their claim that Christians should never get a tattoo: "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." - Leviticus 19:28. Can one believe that Jesus is Lord and that He came to save the world through grace and love and still accept this verse as applicable to us today? It sounds harsh, but it's true. Why? The answer is simple. Christ gave us a New Law, one that supersedes Old Testament Laws like this one in Leviticus.

Oddly, proponents of this verse neglect to consider some other verses in that same book, Chapter 19. There's verse 9, that says: "When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest." Verse 19 reads: "Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material." Verse 26: "Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it." Verse 27: "Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard." Verse 28: "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord."

As you can see, many of the other rules laid out in Leviticus are not followed today. This does not mean that the whole book of Leviticus, or even the Bible itself, should not be followed. It just means that we need to carefully analyze what the theme of the Bible is, and realize what its application is for us today.

The book of Leviticus contains laws intended to keep the children of Israel healthy and holy for God. Tattoos were extremely dangerous and could result in injury, disease, or death. The verse also refers to a pagan ritual of putting tattoo marks on oneself for the dead, in order to protect oneself from the spirit world and the wrath of other gods.

Many Christians do not fully understand the saving grace that was given to us through the humanity and death of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are under a new covenant where His sacrifice covers our sins in a different way than the old Levitical laws did, which is seen in the letter to Hebrews which states: "But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises. For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another," Hebrews 8:6-7.

Now, this does not give us license to sin (we don't need one for we will all sin anyway; it's what we do). We are still responsible for our behavior and how it affects our spiritual lives and the lives of others. For example, the letter to the Romans states: "Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall." -Romans 14:20-21.

From this we can see that it is important to think carefully through all of the effects that getting a tattoo can have on oneself, on our relationships, and on one's future. For some this may mean that getting a tattoo will increase their ability to witness to others, while in other communities having a tattoo would greatly diminish this ability.

SHOULD A CHRISTIAN GET A TATTOO? The conclusion then is that there may not be an answer to "Should Christians get tattoos?" Each of us may have to answer this question for ourselves after taking time to think and pray about it. But, let's be careful not to shun those who have or display tattoos, or make the blanket statement that they can't be a Christian because they have a tattoo. To do this would be to "destroy the work of God" instead of taking time to reach the lost. It is a naive closed-mindedness, as some of the most spiritually challenging and encouraging friends I have, have tattoos proclaiming their faith unabashedly. The burden lies with those Christians who choose to get a tattoo. They need to prove to their critics that their faith is based on more than just tattoos; it is supported by Truth as well. And they must pray as often as possible that divisive but trivial issues (such as body art) are cast aside in favor of unity as one body of Christ!


My Tattoos are only waiting for the right artist. I've decided on what I want, and the placement, I just am waiting for the best execution for them. They will be with me forever, so I aint in no hurry =). "Faith." in black script will be written inside my left foot beneath my ankle bone. Below is the rough layout of the verse referenced vertically on my left Achilles tendon. I am choosing between two verse references now (Proverbs 16:9 and 2 Corinthians 5:7) so this part of the duo is still under construction and in prayer.

This was my favorite dress I wore that day, I'm glad it just so happened to be the one they used! I accidentally found myself bookmarking a beautiful wedding dress by this same designer (Alvina Valenta) and realized later that it was the very same dress I wore at the casting that booked me this job! lol small world.

"Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted." - Hebrews 12:2-3

Let us meditate a moment on the passion of Christ. Some do so falsely in that they merely rail against Judas and the Jews. Some carry crucifixes to protect themselves from water, fire, and sword, and turn the suffering of Christ into an amulet against suffering. Some weep, and that is the end of it. The true contemplation is that in which the heart is crushed and the conscience smitten. You must be overwhelmed by the frightful wrath of God who so hated sin that He spared not His only begotten Son. What can the sinner expect if the beloved Son was so afflicted? It must be an inexpressible and unendurable yearning that causes God's Son himself so to suffer. Ponder this and you will tremble, and the more you ponder, the deeper you will tremble.

Take this to heart and doubt not that you are the one who killed Christ. Your sins certainly did, and when you see the nails driven through his hands, be sure that uou are pounding, and when the thorns pierce his brow, know that they are your evil thoughts. Consider that if one thorn pierced Christ you deserve one hundred thousand.

The whole value of the meditation of the suffering of Christ lies in this, that man should come to the knowledge of himself and sink and tremble. If you are so hardened that you do not tremble, then you have reason to tremble. Pray to God that he may soften your heart and make fruitful your meditation upon the suffering of Christ, for we of ourselves are incapable of proper reflection unless God instills it.

But if one does meditate rightly on the suffering of Christ for a day, an hour, or even a quarter of an hour, this we may confidently say is better than a whole year of fasting, days of paslm singning, yes, than even on hundred masses, because this reflection changes the whole man and makes him new, as once he was in baptism.

If, then, Christ is so firmly planted in yor heart, and if you are become an enemy to sin out of love and not fear, then henceforth the suffering of Christ, which began as a sacrament, may continue lifelong as an example. When tribulation and sickness assail you, think how slight these are compared to the thorns and the nails of Christ. If you are thwarted, remember how he was bound and dragged. If pride besets you, see how the Lord was mocked and with robbers despised. If unchastity incites your flesh, recall how his flesh was scourged, pierced, and smitten. If hate, envy, and vengeance tempt you, think how Christ for you and all his enemies interceded with tears, though he might rather have avenged himself. If you are afflicted and cannot have your way, take heart and say, "Why should I not suffer when my Lord sweat blood for very anguish?"

Astounding it is that the cross of Christ has so fallen into forgetfulness, for is it not forgetfulness of cross when no one wishes to suffer but rather to enjoy himself and evade the cross? You must personally experience suffering with Christ. He suffered for your sake, and should you not suffer for his sake, as well as for your own?

Two texts in the Old Testament apply to Christ. The first is, "Thou art fairer than the children of men" (Ps. 45:2), and the second is, "He hath no form nor comeliness" (Isa. 53:2).

Evidently these passages must be understood in differing sense. To the eyes of the flesh, he was the lowest among the sons of men, a derision, of the suffering and to the eyes of the spirit there was none fairer of Christ lies in than he. The eyes of the flesh cannot see this. What, then is the nature of this beauty? It is wisdom and love, light for the understanding, and power for the soul, for in suffering and dying Christ displayed all the wisdom and the truth with which the understanding can be adorned. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in him, and they are hidden because they are visible only to the eye of the spirit.

The greater and the more wonderful is the excellence of his love by contrast with the lowliness of his form, the hate and pain of passion. Herin we come to know both God and ourselves. His beauty is his own, and through it we learn to know him. His uncomeliness and passion are ours, and in them we know ourselves, for what he suffered in the flesh, we must inwardly suffer in the spirit. He has in truth borne our stripes. Here, then, in an unspeakably clear mirror you see yourself. You must know that through your sins you are as uncomely and mangled as you see him here.

If we consider the persons, we ought to suffer a thousand and again a thousand times more than Christ because he is God and we are dust and ashes, yet it is the reverse. He who had a thousand and again a thousand times less need, has taken upon himself a thousand and again a thousand times more than we. No understanding can fathom nor tongue can express, no writing can record, but only the inward feeling can grasp what is onvolved in the suffering of Christ.

Freedom’s Source

“…to depend on the simple existence of the First Amendment to guarantee our freedom of expression is a serious mistake…” This is Howard Zinns’ opinion of the First Amendments’ assurance. I hope to develop and assert a carefully constructed opinion on this issue for myself by the end of this paper. To aid in my critical thinking process I will be looking at how the American people have allowed themselves to be desensitized to the value of our freedoms.

Zinn discusses both the Alien and Sedition Acts—laws abridging the freedom of speech passed by Congress—rather extensively in the first part of his chapter.

“The number of people jailed under the Sedition Act was not large—ten—but it is in the nature of oppressive laws that it takes just a handful of prosecutions to create an atmosphere that makes potential critics of government fearful of speaking their full minds.”

In this quote I first notice that Zinn refers to the Sedition Act as an oppressive law. I allow that I am not as well versed in such affairs as he; yet, I disagree with his chosen vocabulary. I have noticed smudging of the fine line separating freedom and treason. From what I understand of the Sedition Act, it is in the interest of prosecuting those who wrongly accuse the government—an act of treason—therefore my opinion is that such potential critics should and ought to be fearful. While the First Amendment gives us the privilege of free speech, discernment should be cultivated when exercising this freedom. I strongly believe the American public to have blinders on. We have neglected to enforce our constitutional power to govern ourselves and instead we’ve acquiesced; allowing politics and fickle opinions to govern resulting in the product being a gravely desensitized America. To quote wisdom as spoken by James Madison:

“I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpation.”

I concur. “…the abridgment of the freedom of the people…” is in the surreptitious form of political correctness—by which America is slitting her own throat. Tolerating the exploitation of sacred freedoms such as free speech is an appalling, detrimental, weakness. It is beyond unfathomable to me why so many Americans lack respect for the words/ideas/laws written to help, not harm, their country! Where is our patriotism as a nation? If one does not agree with the governments’ dealings, it is forgivable—it is a free country. We, as the American people, ultimately still have control of this society’s destiny; let’s do something constructive (not seditious) about it! Excuse the following explicit visual, but let us not be so “open-minded” that our brains fall out!

When people are linked in common goals, in shared pursuits, in genuine patriotism, pride, and support for each other, is when those goals and pursuits are accomplished. It seems to me that it is when freedoms are wrongfully exploited that they are then taken away. People should be free to express their opinions, absolutely, but no at the expense of the nations safety or morale. Freedom isn’t free and therefore should be treated in kind. Hello all -

As some of you wonderful supporters and fans may well remember, this blog (walk it out) was an efficiency update from the "organized chaos" sight that Brooke and I began managing in 2007. I have just integrated and backdated all of the blogs I had posted on organized chaos - so now my thoughts are all in one place! Chronologically organized!!! :)

I am locating pictures and adding to each post what rightfully belongs where. Enjoy, if you like reminiscing over my past expeditions!

Thank you all for your love and support over these past few years. I hold you all dear to my heart as I embark on the next chapter in my life!

I have been questioned recently as to the status of "Walk it Out" now that my modeling days are on hie-etas....its still rolling! Who knows, I may change the name of it eventually - but I look forward to keeping it up to date and having you all continue to visit when you feel so inclined. My life may not be as glamorous as it once was before and during NYC; but I will post funnies and my thoughts, and opinions on things big and small... I'll share my life with whomever is interested.

She's So California

The irony, how I am so entirely engulfed with artistic expression after approximately two years of an artistic form of writers' block, that here I realize I've been entirely neglecting ya'll! So here's a much overdo update on Cali normalcy I love to call my life :)

1) I got my hair cut and dyed! Whatdya think of "Cinnaberry"? It's my colour :) It looks much shorter in this picture than it actually is, not to worry - the length is still long and I hope to get it looooongeeerrrrr.
2) As I'm sure ya'll who have ever had my mothers' cooking can attest, I've been kinda enjoying being home :) I've gotta say, size 6 is on its way back... and I'm so happy it suits me. I've also loooved getting my hands dirty in the kitchen again cooking w/for the family.

3) Finally! All of my NYC boxes have been unpacked and most of the junk has been moved into their new homes. Now that all that's out of the way, I can begin my ISSA Personal Trainer certification program with full focus and determination! I am very excited about this course and look forward to the knowledge it will provide me with in the field of fitness - to better help others and myself. Looks like I even have a few clients lined up already :) thx guys!

4) I am formulating my resume for job applications and am hopeful, even in this economy. The Lord has a plan! I am hoping for a summer position to help gain financial grounds before the Fall Semester of school starts...

which brings us to # 5) ... I have been researching my career in Radiologic Technology and am pleased to announce that my plan to attend SBCC (Santa Barbara City College) continues to prove the best option - lucky me! What I need to determine now, is what/if I can accomplish credits cheaper at Hancock while living at home before I transfer my transcript to SB... or just jump in with both feet! We'll see soon 'nuf!


Okay, apart from the big stuff :)
-- Mama fixed me up quick with an In-N-Out Burger (right after the plane landed!) sweet California nectar... cures anything.

-- Right now, my toes are painted a sports car shade of red w/ white pin-stripes down their middles LOL I had fun with that, and it looks cute too!

-- I am currently in the process of designing (with help from sister, family, and friends) my "Faith" Tattoo (more on this to come! Stay tuned!)

-- I'm thoroughly enjoying catching up with friends and spending time together. It is good to be with the family; routine and schedules are hectic and crazy... being together makes it liveable :)

-- I haven't worn makeup since I've been home!

-- Almost caught up on the Country Music Charts and the genre's new songs/artists ... deprived for too long. It's just inhumane to take Alan Jackson from a California girl and expect sanity!

-- A picnic trip to Montana de Oro provided the optimal opportuntiy to break the law, compliments of a California Poppy picking escapade - the orange smiles tucked behind my ear gave freedom a new colour. The horizon I missed so direly brought tears to my eyes and blood to my bones. Alone for miles and miles, a familiar Still Small Voice brought to me by the wind and the waves. I didn't feel alone at all - in all the silence, there was peace. Try this sometime: stand as close to the unprotected cliffs edge as you dare, arms out kamakazee style, lift your face to the heavens, close your eyes and just listen to the sound of the waves and wind break against only the rocks and, then, your voices' stress relieving SCREAM crescendos across the glass topped ocean towards the horizon! Such an invigorating sensation. Let go. Open your eyes. Drop your arms. Look straight ahead, unwaveringly. Watch as your voice carries all inner turmoil, stress, anxiety and fear away, entering the seacliff surroundings that are entirely unchanged by the minor disturbance.... breathe in the unaltered perfection. Feel small and insignificant. Feel loved and cherished. Fearfully and wonderfully made. Feel challenged and healed.

It's been too cold to get a tan... but it'll come, wait for it! LOL xoxo

I’ve been taking myself so seriously, and can’t recall what for.
Brittle. Frail. Fragile.

I tried to paint a picture, the colors were all wrong.
Too familiar is the power of confidence and ego.

Pursuit of Happiness

Prez Day @ Bryant Park

Farah Angsana Couture Fall 2009 - Bryant Park Tent Show:



What a surreal experience. By the time I finally walked the runway for the very first time; all dressed to impress.... it was incredible. I actually remember thinking, "Wow, I am really doing this. I am really here - Bryant Park, New York Fashion Week." It was a moment. A moment to remember always.
American Idol Almuni & Country Music Star, Miss Kellie Pickler was front row ready to my show =) wearing sky-high stiletto's that made ME nervous!

I wish I was %100 for the experience. Unfortunately, mid-Sunday I was bed-ridden by an intense Migraine. It was miserable to go to the show Monday morning and rough being there, I had a cough and the migraine was progressively worsening. By the time I got home @ around 10am (show call time was 6am) I was shaking uncontrollably from fever. I've been in bed since - still in pain but I'm hoping the worst is over with. I just had some Chicken Noodle Soup... more like broth, carrots and a few pieces of chicken. Amazing how they get away with more carbs than protein? it IS called, "Chicken" then "Noodle" then "Soup" right? so how come the second listed ingredient (noodle) is about quadruple the amount of the first (chicken)? Grrr

Anyways, I'm popping pills and antibiotics. Sipping on some orange juice now. Not in the mood for food at all - but tough luck I guess. xoxo

My 25...

This should undoubtedly spark very interesting conversations! =) I look forward to them.

In no particular order of value or significance; but, rather, how they come to mind:

1. My Lord is not small enough to be understood but is big enough to be worshiped. Jesus Christ has my heart.

2. Modeling is what I DO and is not to be confused with who I AM.

3. My greatest fear is failure and I'm not so sure how it is to be measured.

4. I'm not quite sure how to measure my success, either.

5. I am my toughest critic ...don't flatter yourself.

6. I misplaced my blackberry and experienced heart palpitations until it was recovered. Pathetic.

7. I don't like organized religion; my responsibility is my response to Christs' ability.

8. I haven't any quarrels with single life... however; I make no promises come February 14th!

9. My ultimate goals are to be a wife and mom. I think heroism is under/overqualified (dependent on ones' outlook). A wise young man said, "Heroes raise children."

10. If nothing else, fashion has taught me that true beauty has little to do with ones' waist/hip ratio, numbers on the scale, or dress size.

11. I'm not complicated. I'm a woman. There's a difference (?).

12. For your sake, don't underestimate me.

13. For my sake, don't overestimate me.

14. I will forgive you before I will forgive myself.

15. I prefer not to speak unless I have something of value to say; requiring you to listen.

Steak to my Ribs

All week my girl Megan (also w/ Red) has been bunking with me at the apartment while the lovebirds are in California for a time - celebrating their 1 year anniversary, amongst other obligations! It has been so wonderful to have this little red-headed bundle of joy and energy around me all week - we are sad to see our time here end, but we have a plan to stay very closely connected in the near future!

SNOW STORM! We were out in it all day, running to and fro castings, together for the majority of the time - it is so much more enjoyable when you have someone to do these outings with. We "get" each other really well so that helps.

This being her last night at my place, we splurged a little on a real nice home cooked meal ... I had lots of fun at the grocery store as she was choosing a blockbuster vid. Its been awhile since I've actually been able to cook something! Here's a clip of snow + our mad Top Chef skills.



We were very pleased with ourselves =)

On a different note, an update on my current employment status: my services as a shot-girl have been extended to the owners' midtown location as well ... guaranteeing me a likely two-nights a week schedule (one in each location) I am also being trained for bar tending duty slowly but surely. The staff are great and I'm enjoying the monetary benefits - no track towards a private jet but it makes me feel financially productive. I'm hoping the MoneyMonkey will find someone else's back to latch onto!

Castings will continually pick up frequency as we grow closer to Fashion Week ... there are mixed opinions on this seasons' prospective success across the board, due to the flailing economy. Some major designers have pulled out even. It will be interesting.

There are many opportunities taking shape as I look ahead at this year ... I can see the time flying by! I am eager to see how God messes up my plans ... or keeps them, who knows! =)

Alright, I had a few pictures I was going to post from my first night at the bar last weekend, and a pic of me and a friend hanging at a casting... don't ask me what happened. They disappeared! Ugh, cyberspace. Sorry guys.

Well, anywho. The bar was cool, entertaining. The crew/staff are really great people with fun attitudes. Enthusiastic to be around. Its a fun atmosphere - it helps to walk away from the night with a good chunk in change. Good grocery/cab cash. The manager was really pleased with me. I talked to the owner on Wednesday and he set me up to work on Super Bowl Sunday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be a good day/night for tips. Ill have to choose my team wisely =)

Other than that, there's not too much excitement going on these days. There's lots of snow/ice on the ground now, was falling all night a few days ago. I'm just working on everyday normal things, a few castings, etc. Gym classes. Poking around productivity, really.

I think I'm fighting another sick day, I don't know why I'm so prone to virus' lately... I never got sick in Cali. Anyways, lots of vitas and trying to sleep it off, I can't afford to be under-the-weather.

Miss you all, sorry I neglected you this week. I had time to write, just nothing really worth writing about. Im hoping this changes very soon! xoxo
