Simple Seth Sable & NYSC

Seth Sable has worked with many, if not all, of the supermodels I desire to pattern myself after career wise.... in particular, he works religiously with Victoria's Secret! Take a look at the magic his trigger finger had on me.... click to enlarge:
Yesterday, I purchased a two-week trial at a nearby NYSC (New York Sports Club) location and am meeting with a gym rep today to activate my pass and make the change in my lifestyle. I'm looking forward to it - I miss the days when I was a religious Gold's Gym member in Cali and in the best shape of my life! Although a membership is a financial crunch.... I am my product and therefore choose to view the monthly overhead as an investment in my future - not to mention its just freakin' healthy! lol

Laser - beam focus on preparing for F/W 09 fashion week! One day at a time.

Raindrops!

Yes it was raining today ....and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was not caught without an umbrella this time! I wish I had my camera with me as I walked about today - the tops of buildings in Union Sq. were actually hidden in the sky! The city is so fresh and clean when it is raining. Yes it is cold.... Uncle Bob would probably freeze over =) but it's not bothering me - I rather like the chill! JUST so long as there's no wind.... that'll whip right through a girl.

At noon I went to meet with a representative from an agency in Milan that Red works with. They're looking for fresh faces for the Milan fashion week in January. Fingers crossed! A few of us models all went across the street a ways to a coffee shop and hung out afterward. That was fun and relaxing. Couple castings later and I am back home, catching up on some reading and winding down for the evening. Its amazing how tired you feel once ya STOP for a second =)

Word is that I have another test shoot Sunday in Jersey City with a photographer named Meg ....Erin is super excited about it, she loves this photographers work it seems. Hopeful for more good shots!

Test Results & Men's Department

Yannik Lewis - Film Photography Test Shoot in Brooklyn October 2008:

^my fav^

Hi everyone:

Sorry to dissapoint... no this is not a note about my thoughts on men - that would require a novel anyhow =)

I just thought yesterday's adventure to Sports Authority quite comical; all I needed was a jogging outfit that would allow me to get out the door before freezing. California shorts just don't cut it here. So I'm excited at all these cute sets of pinks and purples when I suddenly realize "NONE of these pants are gonna be long enough!"

Sure 'nuff every friggin pair qualified as flood-pants at best ... capris at worst. How is this possible in a city flooded with freakishly tall females??? I was frustrated to say the least. Then I had a brilliant plan....

My favorite pair of sweat pants are actually a pair I stole from my dad... they're PLENTY long enough! So I immediately walked over to the men's department and picked myself out a pair of Addidas track pants and paired 'em with the feminine top of my choice - they are perfect! And pretty hot if ya ask me =)

hehe im proud of myself... oh and I visited Best Buy and bought a vacuum today =) as I walked from 59th St Columbus Circle home to W 109th St via B'way.... lol don't ask, I don't know.

I apologize for being so quiet this week ... woman of few words here. I've been fighting a head-cold since the day prior to Halloween, and have really just been trying to recoup and hang low; so apart from my job requirements, I've been trying to rest. You aren't the only one's I neglected ... Fernando and the Crew probably think I died or something.

Seriously though there isn't much to share this week - just a few castings each day. The pulse of the industry feels like its slowing down a bit now... everyone's becoming lethargic daydreaming about the holidays I think.

Why Worry?

When life results in situations we have not intended, our natural tendency is to worry. Does worrying add a single hour to our lives? Does worrying help us lose those last few pounds? Clear our skin? Finish school? Land a job? Single? Married? Does worrying help us accomplish any of the things we worry about? NO! In fact, the stress created by our anxiety may have taken a year or so off our life expectancies.

Time = Life ...run out of Time and we run out of Life. Worry steals the time we have today and focuses our energies on tomorrow - which we have no control of! It is a waste of time and a waste of life to worry.

For someone looking at my life, I wonder if I seem to have more faith in my worrying than in trusting God with my worries. In Matthew 6:24-34; Jesus addresses stress, anxiety, and worry in our challenging lives. I encourage you today to read this passage through and commit to handing your stresses and worries over to Him - we are not meant to bear them. With our focus, faith and trust in Him our yoke is easy and our burden light.

Today begins a 3 week study on worry at North Point Community Church - Andy Stanley. I listened to this morning's message and am looking forward to the next 2 weeks.

A Weekend @ Last

Happy November 1st! Wow I can't believe its already November ... sheesh! I'm just chillaxing at the apartment - I actually have this weekend off! Freak out =) Last night the roomies and I stayed in... I cooked up some dinner for us and then we watched a really cute indi-film "I'm Reed Fish". After the movie finished we stayed up chit-chatting till about 2am! I had so much fun cooking dinner/dessert - they loved it too!

So I am really just procrastinating here ... lol I should work out and go running, then run some errands, etc. I'm in desperate need of a trip to the laundry mat ... I hate sleeping in! Makes me feel so lazy and lame =( ah well. Better get goin'!

I hope ya'll are doing well this fine Saturday! xo
